We Cater to Your Needs
Do I need to remove staples, paper clips, and other fasteners? No. Our processes account for these light metals, saving you valuable time over office shredding machines, which cannot handle these items.
How can I be sure that my confidential materials have been completely destroyed? Sound Shredding & Recycling issues a Certificate of Destruction to all our shredding customers, our guarantee that your materials have been destroyed. We're a member of NAID ˇV the National Association for Information Destruction, and abide by the code of ethics set forth for their member companies. In addition, our mobile shredding operation is AAA Certified by the NAID. This certification constitutes the highest security standard in our industry.
How secure is your process? The security of your materials is our highest priority. Our warehouse is not a traditional public access recycling facility. The only people allowed into our warehouse are our employees. The only people who will handle your confidential documents are our employees. The integrity of your business depends on your ability to protect confidential information. We provide you with that ability.
What size jobs do you accept? No job is too big or small for Sound Shredding & Recycling. Our customers range from government agencies that generate tons of materials to individuals with a handful of documents. We treat all customers with the same degree of security and care.
Can you shred non-paper items? Yes, we shred a variety of non-paper forms of proprietary information storage, such as CDs, audio and video tapes, x-rays, computer hard-drives, and more. Call us and we'll let you know what other materials we can destroy for you.
Do you do product shredding? Yes, please call and let us know the type of materials and the quantities involved and we'll provide you with a quote.
How does Sound Shredding & Recycling Services' program work? Customers are provided with as many containers as they need, free of charge, with optional slotted locking lids for added security. For onsite shredding, our drivers destroy your materials at your location. For offsite shredding, our drivers pick up the materials at your location, on either an on-call or scheduled basis, swapping full containers for empties. Your materials are brought to our secure warehouse. Confidential materials are shredded, and all paper is baled for shipping to a pulp mill. An invoice is sent with the detailed weights and charges for the materials collected, with a Certificate of Destruction for shredding customers.
How do you price your services? Pricing is based on volume, frequency, the type of materials, and the service(s) provided. We can provide fixed-price and/or time-and-material quotes. Please call us and we'll provide you with a quote.
What if I only need your services sporadically, say for purging files on an annual basis? Not a problem at all. We adjust our schedule to cater to your needs . Where does the paper go after it leaves your warehouse? All materials are processed into 1,500-pound bales, which are sent to paper mills for pulping and subsequent reuse as recycled paper products.
What if our containers are filled before a scheduled pick up? Let us know and we'll gladly schedule an extra pick-up.
What is ˇ§tipping,ˇ¨ and does Sound Shredding & Recycling participate in it? Sound Shredding & Recycling does not tip the materials we collect. ˇ§Tippingˇ¨ occurs when a collection truck has reached its capacity, and the driver tips, or drops, these materials off at a third-party recycling/disposal yard. When a company tips your materials, your security is compromised. Tipped materials are often sold for use as animal bedding and other non-secure uses. We handle and process all materials at our secure facility.
Why use Sound's services when we can use an in-house shredding machine? Sound Shredding & Recycling's services save you time and are more cost-effective than shredding machines, which are expensive to maintain, require the removal of staples, paper clips, and other fasteners, and take up valuable workforce time.
Can you provide references? Yes, call us and we'll be glad to.
Do you shred residential and/or home-based office materials? Absolutely.
Can I bring my materials to your facility? Sound's facility is not set up as a drop-off location. However, we have recently partnered with Print & Copy Factory to make drop-off service available to the public. For a fee, Print & Copy Factory will accept your materials, place them in a locked, monitored container, and Sound will pick them up and destroy them at their non-public facility. For more information, call Sound at 360.733.7932 and/or Print & Copy Factory at 360.738.4931. Print & Copy Factory is located at 4055 Irongate Road in Bellingham, 98226.
